Barney is having the same issue. According to vet, it is caused by an enzyme in his saliva. He eats Blue Buffalo dog food and we are very careful about the ingredients in his treats - staying away from anything with beets, etc. We started using Angel Eyes about a month ago and can already see the results. He does not have a problem with his eyes,however - just his beard and paws (where he licks most frequently). He will be groomed in 2 weeks, so we can better assess the results. Good luck!
