I would not recommend treating kidney stones by drinking beer for the following reasons:
1. When we drink any alcohol, including beer, we have an urge to urinate. But because of the properties of alcohol we usually urinate a greater volume than we ingest which leads to dehydration.
2. Beer drinking can also increase oxalate and urate amounts.
So, even though beer is 95% water, you are better off sticking with a drink that is 100% water like........water. Although some beer aficionados will claim that Bud Light also qualifies as 100% water.
