Just a side note, I'm using the new version of Google Maps (you have to request an upgrade at this time), and it shows the new picture until you zoom in, where it reverts to an older image. On Google Earth, you can zoom in all the way to see detail on houses, etc.

You are correct about the time stamp being 3/29/13, but the image showing of Brownwood was taken on either 3/30 or 3/31 during the
Arts and Craft Show held there earlier this year. See Virtual Geezers previous posts on more about that.
(Note: time stamps are obtainable through the Google Earth program, but not available when rendered by Google Maps through a browser)
