If you don't make the above changes you will not see ALL the hidden files on your GPS and you will not be able to back up those hidden files. Also you will have to have Windows set up to show you all hidden files to be able to view everything. In its out of the box state Windows will think the GPS is a device such as a printer and it needs to be viewed as a memory device to allow you to view everything.
After you have made the above change, depending on your model, do the full backup and then you can delete the unwanted voice files................................

OK, thanks. Did all this, and worked fine. Did not know about those diagnostics. After update, I reset MTP back to auto detect. Is that right?
