I can't agree with you more. Beside teaching the game I also do demo days for Titleist. When I fit players for new drivers the majority don't realize how short they actually hit the ball. I fit them using a launch monitor and they always say those numbers can't be right. When we fit our motto is " Leave your ego in the trunk". The USGA also has a spot out with Jack Nicklaus advising golfers to tee it forward, move up a set off tees and you may never move back.
