I have some of the best of both worlds - my lot is a corner but not a corner. It's on the outside bend of a street. 12K sq feet. Gave me plenty of room to put a decent size (50 X 30) birdcage with pool. No street noise since there is only 25 homes and we're in the middle. From the pool we have privacy since it only looks out upon the fronts of the homes across the street and golf behind that. Since the lot was 'only' 24K extra we feel it was a bargain. So not all corners are corners
