Contrary to what the venerable A-4 has posted...no money was handed out last night that originated in the village kitty. All money disbursed was the result of a 50/50 drawing. The Mayor merely drew the tickets and the Honorable Mr. Bacon handled all of the funds. The mayors hands never touched the money!!!
The promotion to Governor was, while flattering, not expected or even really wanted (being mayor is enough work).
The only sweetener in the pot was that I was advised that the financial compensation for the position has been doubled (what's 2x0= ??????)
