Another misconception: The LGBT Community does not compare themselves to the slavery of African Americans. The comparrison is the inequity of marriatal rights that African Americans faced. There was a time when Africian Americans were not allowed to marry. There was a time when interacial marriages were not legal. The only part of your comment that has merit and I can agree with is the battle is far from over.
