At the time of his killing of Martin, Zimmerman outweighed Martin by about 40 pounds. Yes, he should not have ever gotten out of his car nor should he have been carrying a pistol while on Neighborhood Patrol.

The physician's assistant testified yesterday that George Zimmerman was 5 foot 7.5 inches and weighed over 200 pounds the day after the shooting and was considered obese because of his BMI. In the past eight months he has gained 130 pounds, which puts him at about 350 pounds today.
He also burned through over $300,000 during that same period. Mark O'Mara, his attorney, stated he had $315,000 in his defense fund, and that fund recently was down to $5000. In fairness to Zimmerman, O'Mara never said how much of the defense money he received, but was only begging for more donations.
