After a while I tried it again and the IE error page came up saying it wasn't a valid host name. So I guess I'll try the reset button on the router. It's 3.5 yrs old so I don't have any manual or anything. It's a Linksys Wireless-N Router, model# WRT160N V2.
Can someone try to enter the IP address (192.168.1.1) in your browser window & see if a login page comes up? I can't reset the password if I can't get the router setup login page. Thanks!

I didn't see this post when I make my post. The 192.168.1.1 address is the same for my NetGear router as well as for your Linksys. Have you tried a different browser or tried closing your browser and clear your temporary files then try again? If it doesn't work then you just might need to get in touch with your security software company or Linksys support again. I still think you might be looking for the passphrase, but will need to get logged on to the manager first. You can find and download the user guide for your Linksys model at
