This was the statue located by the stage in Brownwood, I believe it was suppose to be Mr. Schwartz. Heard the cost for that statue alone was $50,000.
As my husband said, the steps on the bleachers are dangerous, will they tear that out the first time someone gets hurt on there and what if someone trips and fall on a curb, will they remove all the curbing next?
Based on this subsequent post quoted above, 'eyes on the ground' say this is not a rumor, but, is happening.

Unfortunate... that cowboy statue had a lot of character and fit nicely into the paddock square design. I hope they find a nice, protected place to move it to. It does make you wonder/worry how they will protect the cattle statues at the entrance to Brownwood.
