I am waiting for them to call back and schedule a service call. My wife said not to hold my breath. It was an incredibly frustrating and pointless experience. There is no other business I can think of that has such convoluted and worthless customer service. I will most likely switch to Century Link.

Before you switch, let me tell you about the last experience we had with Comcast.
We were having a problem with our phone and internet connection not working. We tried all the things they told us to do by phone. So an appointment was setup for home service.
When the service guy arrived he checked and the equipment was working ok. The upon checking a little further on our signal strength and found out that the signal was very poor. It turned out to be because we had two bad splitters, one near the modem and the other in the outside cable utility box, and he also found one of the cables between the wall outlet and the modem needed replacement. He replaced them and all was fine thereafter.
I suggest you try calling and set up an appointment for them to check out your splitters and cables to see if that is why you're having a problem. Good luck!
