We took a western trip with YMT Vacations several years ago. I was still working in DC and met my family at their layover and traveled on together to Los Angeles. You have to pay extra for all of your day trips and for most of your meals. The hotels were just okay and it wasn't always easy to find a restaurant nearby to eat. If I remember right, we went to four states and took a day trip into Mexico. The bus ride to the different states was nice – especially to the Grand Canyon. It was a great trip. Just don't expect the best hotels.
