I am sure many of you remember the big deal about golf cart tires a few years ago.

There was a list of only certain brands acceptable to be on the golf courses.I was one of those golf employees that had to check the brand ef every golfers cart tire and in addition we had to make random check of the air pressure to make sure it was with the allowable range.

What a crock this regulation was, the reasoning was that when the steering wheel was turned, certain tires and air pressures damaged the fairways. I was never aware of any tire damage to fairways before the dumb rule was introduced.

The only thing accomplished was to a cost to those that had to buy different tires and more than anything was the result of people being very upset when their cart was deemed unacceptable for use on the golf course.
So now I ask what happened to that big issue that was put out by the golf division ??? Was this just some goofy rule dreamed up by a goofy person somewhere. ???
