On a new home if there was an offer they would remove it from the site temporarily until the paperwork was done. We have bought two new homes through them. I don't remember ever seeing resale listings that were sold allowed to
stand for months. It isn't
truly sold until the deal closes. So pending is striped across it. I guess it is what you are used to. This practice was used back home and I do not find it misleading.
I went with a friend to look at a resale listed by MLS the day before yesterday and we pulled up to see a sign in the window. Sale Pending. He called the realtor who was not aware there had been an offer made.
Things happen fast around here.
