Excellent advice from Fred53,,,, I might add that an informational session is available at one of the clubs,, look into that,, a must do , imo. As for clubs,, a starter set is not that costly and at least you will have something that "fits" you. Move up to a better set when your game improves. Good luck and have fun... most of all. And BTW,, practicing on the practice ranges "may" only ingrain bad habits and make them more difficult to break later,, a couple of swing lessons would not be too costly for starters and actually be well worth it in the long run.
