As a side note, I once read that people who are deaf have much better side-vision. That's because the area of the brain that would normally be devoted to hearing, can be shifted to include better side-vision concentration. (More brain power.)
Then you might ask, "what happens to your side vision when you have a passenger who talks non-stop while you're driving in traffic?
