When we were staying in TV, we were HAPPY that the sprinkler water had no odor. The sulphur smell on the east coast was nauseating....but that's what they sprinkled the lawns with. It was Saint Augustine grass.

North of 466 the sprinklers use plain water like from the tap.
South of 466 the lawn sprinklers use water from the ponds.
South of 466 when the sprinklers first come on it is stinky. The water has been sitting there and fermenting in the heat, after a minute or two it isn't so bad.
I don't think the odor is from sprinklers. I wonder what it is.
