I owned a home in Lake County and we were not permitted to operate our sprinklers between 10am and 5pm....reason given was that during the heat of the day, the water evaporates before it has time to absorb into the ground. I guess the water in the Villages is "fast absorbing"...ha!

Sometimes sprinklers are run in the common areas around here...even
when it is raining and it is simply a form or flood control and keeping the water levels in the ponds from overflowing.
