They are owned by the developer and the residents of TV. They are not like our streets where any one may travel (we are not a gated community). Why not install a gate like at Hickory Head Hammock. The gate could only be triggered by our gate cards. There would be no button to push. ONLY villages residents would have the card. This would keep the people from Harbor Chase and Spruce Creek out. I know people will say I am being snobby by not letting Spruce Creekers in, However they do not pay for the upkeep of the trails, we do. Our trails are getting crowded as TV gets bigger. Maybe it's time to limit access to other communities. The people from the outside are still welcome to dine and shop only they must use public roads not our private golf card trails.
Applepie I couldn't agree more! There are also people living in Lakeside Landings that illegally cross 472 onto Promise Healthcare property and enter via the gate that crosses the Belmont Golf Course. All they do is manually
lift the gate. I had sent an e-mail more than four years ago to Janet Tutt regarding residents having to pay to maintain the multi-model paths while nonresidents access them for free. At that time I was told the developer was in talks with the property owner on the other side where this wall has now been erected but nothing ever came of it. If non residents want to use
the multi-model paths then the counties should take them over like they do our roads and everyone pays for them out of their taxes. I have used the
dirt trail to go to Lowe's and my doctor but I will now use the car.
