I believe peachie is correct concerning Spruce Creek and Stonecrest residents crossing 441/27. There is a new Fla law that allows carts to cross at certain locations with local authority approval. Spruce Creek made an application to Marion Cty early this year to cross 441/27 at the stop light by Sun Trust (in front of their main gate). The roads between the Stonecrest CC walls and 441/27 are owned by Stonecrest Commercial Corp who approved the Spruce Creek Cart access on their property allowing carts to travel to Walmart and points south. Stonecrest property owners voted on the issue and also approved it.

Stonecrest and Village carts that get beyond the new wall and get Stonecrest Commercial approval if required will be allowed to cross 441/27 - I don't know where they go from there. Maybe a new path in front of Spruce Creek to get to the stores by CVS and McDonalds; maybe into Spruce Creek to use the existing automatic gate from Spruce Creek into the CVS and McDonalds area.

Marion County hasn't finalized the crossing yet.
