A lot of builders all around the country will not accept VA loans because of numerous problems with VA appraisals and the impact on closing dates. See: New Home builders shy away from VA loans due to appraisals
Its really a shame that a program meant to help vets turns out hurting them. Another example of unintended consequences when the government steps in.
