Here's my favorite recycling site. Tells you where to get rid of everything....paint, batteries, electronics,etc. No need to wait for a special day. Just type in what you are looking to recycle at the top and a list of recycle places will come up.
Then click on the one you are interested in to get restrictions, hours, etc.
Some are drop off, some will pick up.
Best Buy has a great recycling program. Staples and Sams Club also recycle many items.
