That happened to a friend of mine awhile back and when she called--I think s was the Home Warranty Department--they explained that all contractors and sub-contractors are told and should know the rules. What you experienced, and my friend whose pool was fouled by a contractor sawing concrete next door without a water spray, is definitely against the rules. In my friend's case they had someone out to power wash her entire house and clean the pool and pool deck within a few days.
