Take Syria, what do we have as "evidence" of the atrocities? Some video? Some "testimony"? The "media", the government, telling us? Who took the video? Who's testimony are we hearing?
Remember the "nurse" in Kuwait who sparked outrage with her story of Iraqi troops murdering newborns in their nurseries? It was all a lie. This is probably a lie too.
This is part of destabilizing middle eastern governments. They're being taken down one by one. A nation in turmoil doesn't/can't put up a good fight.
