so glad that you found what you wanted and that you were not shopping for a home when mine came on the market! i believe as the good dr. posted - homes on the historic side are not as old as you make them out to be. and we all know that the for-sale homes one views are only those that are available at that given time - sorta like a photograph - what you see is what there is for sale at that time. painting the historic side resale market with the broad brush that you used does a disservice to anyone who would be looking for a house now and/or in the future.
