That's a good idea, problem is when some folks go overboard and prepare with thousands of rounds of rounds of ammunition to kill people that are coming by for what they have. Being raised a Christian, I would rather die than kill my neighbor for asking for food. If one believes in the Christian god, give on earth and you will be welcome in heaven. If you kill a person with his hand out begging you will go to hell.
Bottom line: Do all that a prepper is setting up to do in order to survive on earth and they will receive eternal hell fire for eternity. Now, on the other hand, if I was an atheist, I would load up on ammo also. I personally would prefer death to that.
