We adopted our little dog when he was 2 1/2 months old and our older dog was 15. Now I do need to add that our older dog was one of the best dogs ever. We felt that it brought new life to our older dog as he seemed to feel that he had to protect and teach the ropes to the little guy. Our older dog however was only deaf, he could still see and had his teeth. I think the little guy added several months to his life.
