It is a sacrifice I am willing to take allowing Tony to come over on his own. I just hope he does not buy a house or anything else for that matter without me!

LuvlyJubly, In the UK, are there pet sitting services where someone (bonded and insured) will come into your home once or twice a day to feed your cats, play with them and take care of your cats' litter box(es)? In the U.S., these services are readily available. I use a pet sitting service whenever I am out of town for more than 1 day. I have used the same pet sitting service for 11 years once my former neighbor (who was my first pet sitter) moved out of state in 2002. Magic (my first cat) and Molly (my current cat) do quite well with my current pet sitter who is a real animal lover.
