Open account with Interactive Brokers. Great online broker that Baron's gives a great rating! All trades at .05 per share. Margin interest is currently 1.25% on balances over 100k.

Buy the following and rebalance with dividends received or as mkt changes.

10% cash
10% fam
10% acg
10% jnk
10% dia
10% pff
10% awf
10% vti
10% spy
10% nma


I also like the following:

Cfc pr a
Isf
Xlf
Ally pr a
Nly pr d

I have used variations of the above portfolio with excellent results over the last 5 years. It is low cost with great diversity.
