Good idea to find a cutter/installer first, and then go shop for granite at the places he recommends. Searching this forum for recent recommendations and then private messaging those people to ask questions will land you with a good installer and granite source.
Keep in mind that not all granite is equal. So starting with looking for the granite at different places could lead you astray. Some granite from third-world countries could emit elevated radon, some from China could be cut thinner than normal, some from Russia... well, our cabinetmaker told us that Russia used to blast tunnels through their mountains using nuclear bombs. THIS LAST PART IS HEARSAY!!
