I recently signed up with Comcast for internet and phone. The installation wasn't too bad, and things were working, so I decided to go for the triple play, adding cable TV to the mix. That's where things went downhill.
Comcast showed its complete incompetence with cable TV. First off, when they hooked up the TV, I lost the phone and internet for 24 hours. I'll save you the details, but the digital and HD boxes did not work, calling the 800 number cost me countless hours, and on top of that, the billing was incorrect. All calls were handled by India, and they would just switch me from one person to another. I had 3 separate technicians come to the house, and I made 6 trips to the Comcast office over a 7 day period.
I cancelled the TV portion, tried to return to my original setup at $39.99 locked in for 2 years for internet and phone. Problem was, they wouldn't allow that, since I added the TV (which of course never was functional). I was at least able to get the $39.99 for 6 months.
Emailed the VP of customer services, and got a response back saying how they always try to provide the best customer service. What a joke!
