Besides "the list" that I had to deal with with my last ever brand new American car (all those things one has to bring a new car back to the dealership to fix—things that should never have been issues if there had been proper quality control during manufacturing), I had three warranty issues. For every one of them I had to fight the manufacturer tooth and nail to get them to stand behind their vehicle. Some years later, I traded the car at 80,000 miles—the engine was knocking so badly that it was just about shot—and that was when I said "Never again!" I too would love to buy an American car but feel as though American cars have left me....
