Guess we've been Yankees too long ..........we respect our own privacy as well as everyone elses. When we first moved to Vermont in our very early twenties.....it was a different world........but we grew to love and respect the "strong silent type of folks" as well as the "salt of the earth" who would do anything for a neighbor..........even though they are NOT flamboyant, loud, aggressive or the "look at me" type. A different world, but one we grew used to after spending our youth in New Jersey. I guess we are Yankees at heart.

Those traits, and good ones they are, are not limited to that section of this country. You will find the same in folks from Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, just to name a few areas that I know well.
I think the melting pot here is hard to handle at times, in all honesty. We all think ....what is the matter with THEM?
