I share your pain. I have the virtually identical model rebuilt cart and had some problems a few years ago. A recommended mechanic did not do adequate repairs. A TV "seasoned vet" recommended a terrific mechanic who not only fixed my running problems, but has kept my cart in tip top running shape ever since, for very reasonable cost. I used a DIY solution to significantly reduce gas cart noise. I cut pieces of hard insulation and glued them to the underside of the seat and the side panels of the cart in the engine compartment. This was a very inexpensive and effective solution. Fortunately, in my cart model there is enough air space between the insulation so that it is unaffected by engine heat. While they are rather pricey ou can find sound insulation packages for your model, ready to install easily with one side peel and stick on.
