If you're looking for a day trip and enjoy German food and culture, Jacksonville is sponsoring "Jaxtober Fest" on Friday & Saturday 10/11 - 10/12.
“Jaxtoberfest.” This festive celebration, which will be held on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Jacksonville Shipyards in downtown Jacksonville, offers “a bit of Germany” Jacksonville style.
“Jaxtoberfest” will feature entertainment by bands playing traditional German music, as well as favorite German foods and beers. It will also include a few updated family-festival favorites!
(Jacksonville is about 2 hours 15 minutes drive).
