I think if a person drinks responsibly they are not inclined to brag about it on the internet. "Drinking responsibly" and "bragging about it" just doesn't seem to go together. If someone needs a mind-altering-drug to loosen up and become uninhibited, I think that's a bad sign. They are drinking for a mind altering effect. So what happens when it wears off? The person feels down and can't wait for the next time.
A very popular ex-president was a social drinker and ended up with Alzheimer's dementia. (Oh, boy, now I stepped in it.)
