A very popular ex-president was a social drinker and ended up with Alzheimer's dementia. (Oh, boy, now I stepped in it.)

Dear man.
My father was an alcoholic but did not lose his memory or sanity or develop Alzheimers at the time of his death at 90. He lost respect, money and a lot of good times, but all of us are old enough to know what alcoholism can do.
Alzheimers is
probably caused by a genetic reason and that gene
MAY have been altered by any number of things or it could have been a non dominant recessive trait or a dominate trait. Much is being discovered about genetics by the minutes, even seconds, these days. Some think that the tendency toward alcoholism may be genetic. It GOT my attention.
Not every bad thing or unhealthy thing is caused by lack of a diet you believe in and not every disease can be avoided by keeping to the diet you believe in.
Relax and enjoy a few more things. We all don't have forever to live.
And I mean that most kindly and most sincerely.
Gracie.
