Reason I ask is that occasionally C&BP do an in depth check of a vehicle. We have been inspected once when driving into the US. I just want to make sure I am doing it right and not exceed any limits.

My sister visited us in Kissimmee a couple years ago and had accidentally left her prescription meds in the UK. She had her son send them via FedEx, they arrived in the US, but FedEx refused to deliver them. She ended up having to declare them as abandoned.

She then saw a doctor in Kissimmee who required her physician in the UK fax her prescription to him before he would prescribe. It ended up costing her over $400 for $30 worth of meds.
