I would not suggest doing it.
Also consider the source with his "more or less" qualifiers........especially the voiding the warranty or any other consideration if you open any iPhone.
My iPhone 4 is over two years old and the battery is working/holding a charge as well as it did on day one.
If you really want to replace the battery have one of the iPhone aftermarket companies do it. I will cost $100++++ to have it done.
You can get a new iPhone 4 or 4s for $99 or less.
