From Guardian article
Quote:
On Stenersen's own shortlist of contenders are Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl who was shot in the head by the Taliban, and Denis Mukwege, a doctor in the Democratic Republic of Congo, who has treated thousands of women gang-raped and tortured during the civil war.

"I'd be surprised if the award didn't go to this doctor," Stenersen said.
Malala Yousafzai will probably win it in some future year would be my guess. She is doing great work with helping kids in access to education denied them for years because of the culture they live in but she has not been doing this work very long. And, she seems to reaping the benefits of all the press attention. I had not even heard of Dr. Denis Mukwege before this and this man has been doing very difficult work in very difficult situations.
