I watch a lot of movies either from HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, or renting from Red Box or going to the theater. I would be lost if I didn't know anything about the movie beforehand. My home page is IMDb (Internet Movie Data Base) You can type in any movie title and learn all about it, read hundreds of reviews, etc. Also Rotten Tomatoes is a website dedicated to reviews from fans and professionals. There's no reason to rent a film and not know what's it's about with these two websites. There is also many others out there but these are the two I use mostly.

This month we've rented from Red Box 'Side Effects, Flight, The Call, Oblivion', watched on TV 'Lincoln, Life of Pi, Hitchcock, Trouble with the Curve', and watched at the theater 'Blue Jasmine, Prisoners' and Gravity in 3D'. All were pretty good, several were outstanding and I had a pretty good idea of what each one was about. Once you have those websites it's not hard to do a little research.
