There's no reason to rent a film and not know what's it's about with these two websites. There is also many others out there but these are the two I use mostly.
This month we've rented from Red Box 'Side Effects, Flight, The Call, Oblivion', watched on TV 'Lincoln, Life of Pi, Hitchcock, Trouble with the Curve', and watched at the theater 'Blue Jasmine, Prisoners' and Gravity in 3D'. All were pretty good, several were outstanding and I had a pretty good idea of what each one was about. Once you have those websites it's not hard to do a little research.

I use these resources quite a bit too. You might want to check out the-Numbers.com. Especially if you are good at predicting box office takes for the weekend. The guru on there also gives out reviews of recently released DVDs. http://www.the-numbers.com/interacti...hp?newsID=8573
