Steve is correct according to Florida law. All you have to do is google the law to see how Florida defines golf carts. If you are in an accident with your golf cart and it is set higher than 20 miles an hour you are not covered under regular golf cart insurance. Ours was set by The Villages Golf Carts. They absolutely refuse to set it higher (actually I think the maximum speed on ours is set for 19.5). They do this because they will not accept the liability for faster carts.
