Lost a long-time, close friend and co-worker 10 months ago. Her FB page is still up, maintained by her sisters and is a place for those that miss her to post thoughts, poems and pictures that help us all to adjust to our loss.
Never gave a thought to unfriending her. I suppose it will happen someday.
Similarly......
I still have in my in-box their last email sent to me from several special friends that have passed away, one as long as 7 years ago. Those emails have moved right along with several computer upgrades.
I read them less frequently as time passes but I swear I can hear their voices when I do.
Again I suppose someday I will delete them.
They bring me some comfort and are not taking up too much space
so they have remained.
