I too am sorry for your loss. I have a good friend who died unexpectedly from a brain tumor three years ago. Prior to that, he had gone to a Saab driving school, and they had made a video of him talking and driving. I still have that on my computer. I don't view it very often because his loss still hurts, but I do go there every once in a while just to hear his voice and see his face.
But I also understand your actions. when our beloved dog died in 2007, I ran through the house gathering up all his stuff, and threw it out. The things were too painful to look at.
I think there is no wrong answer to this. It's very personal.
