And some posters do a separate ad for each small item which seems unnecessary. I think Kathie's suggestion of having a minimum dollar amount is a very good idea.

But in the whole scheme of things, it's no biggie. The ads can be ignored.

Garage sales can bring an undesirable element directly to your door and into your garage since you can't have any items for sale outside. Being able to advertise by targeting TOTV readers seems to carry less risk than offering an item to the broader Craigslist market. Actually, for the small dollar items, it does seem like selling those things can be more trouble than it is worth regardless of how you do it. Some things should just go to the thrift store or put them in your trunk and trip up to the flea market and offer them ALL to a vendor for resale.
