Default Absolutely no fruit on cirtus trees this year

Help!!!!!! I desperately need an excuse. All 8 of the fruit trees that I planted in fall of 2005 had some fruit last year. They were the medium sized trees from Lowe's (about $50 each to give an idea that they are bearing size). One other grapefruit tree I bought last fall bloomed this spring and set fruit but the other trees had no blooms at all. I'm wondering if I overfertilized (I do about 1/2 the amount of cirtus fertilizer every other month), heaven knows it couldn't be overwatering, I have sand 3 feet from the base to help prevent wet soil. No obvious bugs or diseases. Several folks told me that the late frost and tornado winds ruined this year fruit set. I'd take that excuse except the one tree that didn't have a year of my care DID bloom and set fruit. My only thought is overfertilizing or not stopping at the right time. Any other ideas??????
