I guess I'll answer my own question: No, it did not live up to the good review it got in the Daily Sun. It's not exactly fresh in my mind anymore but I remember feeling dissatisfied with all the characters in the movie. I think a movie should be uplifting in some way but this movie only gave us a very cynical, pessimistic view of life. All the characters were deeply flawed.
Do we need a movie to show us that life is screwed up? Was that really "Woody Allen at his best?" I don't think so.
