I love Halloween and seeing the parade of kids so excited and on the lookout for spooky critters. We usually run a cd of spooky sounds to set the scene.
I am guessing that Halloween is VERY different there.
We are very excited about our design appt in 24 days!! and moving day!! But I know I will miss the little goblins on this day next year.
Do kids from the surrounding areas venture in to trick or treat? or is the holiday pretty much celebrated by a few resident driveway/garage parties?
Just wonderig.....

When we were there in October once, we bought goodies such as Reeses peanut butter cups, frosted pumpkin cookies and cupcakes "just in case" but not one child or anyone for that matter, came to the door on Halloween. Hubby got to enjoy it all.
We also used to play the haunted music, plus my husband would wear a mask and jump out and scare the poor kids......but they loved it.
We'd carve the jack o lanterns and stuff a "scarecrow" with straw, to sit on the front porch.........lots of fun when we were younger and the neighborhood had children.
Even in our neighborhood now, most of the kids have grown up and moved away to follow their careers........so very few come to the door.
The ones that do are "driven" by their dads in big S.U.V.'s so obviously they are not from our neighborhood. Our kids all walked in groups and stayed on the lawns for the most part, as we do not have sidewalks.
They always had flashlights...........and always came home happy after a fun evening trick or treating to known friends and neighbors.
